Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing from or using DogBusiness.co.uk. By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or make a purchase.
1. About Us
DogBusiness.co.uk is a digital product platform operated by Randle Stonier trading as DogBusiness.co.uk. Randle Stonier is a sole trader registered for self-assessment with HMRC. Our principal place of business is 45 Manor Chase, Beddau, RCT CF38 2JD.
Contact: [email protected]. We sell digital document templates and business resources for dog-related businesses in the United Kingdom.
2. Digital Products
All products sold on DogBusiness.co.uk are digital downloads (Microsoft Word documents, PDF files, or digital form templates). By purchasing, you acknowledge the following:
Digital products are delivered electronically and are not physical goods. You will receive access to download your purchased files immediately after payment confirmation for instant download products, or within the stated timeframe for Done-For-You (DFY) products. DFY products are customised with your business details and delivered within 7 business days of the commencement of work on your order (see Section 5 for full details of DFY cancellation rights).
Products are licensed for use in your own business only. Resale, redistribution, or sharing of purchased documents is strictly prohibited, subject to the business sale carve-out in Section 3 below.
3. Licence
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to use the purchased documents for your own business operations. This licence is personal to you and to the business for which the documents are purchased.
You may:
- Edit and personalise the documents for your own business use.
- Print and distribute documents to your clients as part of your service delivery.
- Use the documents in the ordinary course of operating your business.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or distribute the templates to third parties.
- Share, upload, or make the original template files publicly available in any form.
- Use the documents as the basis for creating competing products or services for sale.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices or branding from the original template files.
- Grant any other person or entity access to the original template files.
Business Sale Carve-Out: The non-transferable nature of this licence does not prevent you from using the purchased documents in the ordinary course of a business that you sell, transfer, or pass to a successor. Where you sell or transfer your business to a third party, the purchaser of your business may continue to use the documents solely for the purposes of operating the business acquired from you. The purchaser does not receive any right to the original template files for redistribution or for use in any other business, and must comply with all other terms of this licence. You must notify us at [email protected] when a business transfer occurs.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time before an order is confirmed; if a pricing error affects your order, we will contact you before processing payment.
5. Cancellation Rights and Refunds
5.1 Your Right to Cancel — Instant Download Products
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content without giving a reason. However, this right is lost once the digital content has been accessed or downloaded, provided that:
(a) you have given your prior express consent to the supply of the digital content beginning before the end of the 14-day cancellation period; and
(b) you have acknowledged that by giving that consent, your right to cancel is thereby lost.
At the point of purchase, you will be asked to confirm both (a) and (b) above by ticking a clearly labelled, unticked-by-default checkbox before completing your order. By ticking that checkbox and completing your purchase, you confirm your express consent and acknowledgement as described. Once you have accessed or downloaded the digital content, we do not offer refunds except as required by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (see Section 6).
If you have not accessed or downloaded the digital content and you wish to cancel within the 14-day cancellation period, please contact us at [email protected] and we will process a full refund.
5.2 Your Right to Cancel — Done-For-You (DFY) Products
DFY products are bespoke customisation services. Your 14-day cancellation right applies from the date of purchase and continues until we commence customisation work on your order.
Before customisation begins: You may cancel your DFY order and receive a full refund at any time before we commence work. We will send you an email notification when work commences. To cancel, contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible.
Requesting early commencement of work: If you wish us to begin work immediately (before the 14-day cancellation period has expired), we will request your express consent by email before commencing. By giving that consent, you acknowledge that your 14-day cancellation right will be lost once work begins.
After customisation begins: Once we have commenced work on your personalised documents, your 14-day cancellation right is lost. No refund is available after work has commenced, except as required by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Dissatisfied with the result: We will make reasonable revisions to ensure the documents meet the brief provided at the time of purchase. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
5.3 Refund Policy
Full details of our refund process, including technical issues and incorrect purchases, are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
6. Accuracy of Documents and Your Statutory Rights
Our documents are prepared by professionals with expertise in the UK pet care industry and are reviewed for compliance with relevant UK legislation as at the date of publication stated on each document. However, the following limitations apply:
Documents are provided as templates and starting points, not as legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing all documents and ensuring they are appropriate for your specific business circumstances, location, and client base. We recommend seeking independent legal advice for complex or high-risk situations. Laws and regulations change; while we update our documents regularly, you are responsible for verifying compliance with current legislation before use. The date of last review is stated on each document.
Your Statutory Rights Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content sold to consumers is subject to the following implied terms, which cannot be excluded or restricted by contract:
- Satisfactory quality (section 34): digital content must meet the standard that a reasonable person would consider satisfactory, having regard to its description and price.
- Fit for particular purpose (section 35): where you have made known a particular purpose for which you require the digital content, it must be fit for that purpose.
- As described (section 36): digital content must conform to any description given at the point of sale.
Where digital content does not conform to these implied terms, you may be entitled to repair or replacement of the digital content under section 43 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where repair or replacement is not possible, or is not provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may be entitled to a price reduction under section 44 of that Act. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected] with your order details and a description of the issue.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DogBusiness Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, or reputational damage. Our total liability to you for any direct loss arising from or in connection with a specific product shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that product.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including liability for failure of digital content to conform to the implied terms of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, and conformity with description; or
- any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on DogBusiness.co.uk, including document templates, written content, images, and design, is the intellectual property of DogBusiness Ltd and is protected by UK copyright law and other applicable intellectual property rights. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation of any content is prohibited and may result in legal action.
Your purchase grants you a licence to use the purchased documents as described in Section 3. No intellectual property rights in the original template files are transferred to you by virtue of your purchase.
9. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account credentials with any third party. Please notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account or any security breach. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe that account credentials have been compromised or that the account is being used in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
10. Website Availability
We aim to keep DogBusiness.co.uk available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or to purchased digital content. We may suspend access to the website for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. Where access to previously purchased digital content is interrupted for a period exceeding 7 days due to reasons within our control, we will use reasonable endeavours to restore access promptly and, where we are unable to do so, will provide an alternative means of delivering your purchased files.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction.
12. Alternative Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any complaints or disputes fairly and promptly. If you have a complaint about our products or services, please contact us in the first instance at [email protected] and we will endeavour to resolve the matter within 5 business days.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint through our internal process, you may refer the dispute to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. We are not a member of an approved ADR scheme. For further guidance on your rights as a consumer, you may contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or visit www.citizensadvice.org.uk. The UK Government's online dispute resolution information is available at www.gov.uk/consumer-protection-rights.
13. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms & Conditions where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God; pandemic or epidemic; fire, flood, earthquake, storm, or other natural disaster; failure of telecommunications networks or internet services; industrial action; government action, regulation, or restriction; failure of third-party service providers (including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, and email delivery services); or cyber-attack or data breach affecting our systems.
In such circumstances, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and will use reasonable endeavours to resume performance as soon as possible. For DFY products, the 7-business-day delivery timeframe will be extended by the duration of the force majeure event. If the force majeure event continues for more than 30 consecutive days, either party may cancel the affected order by written notice to the other, and you will receive a full refund of any amount paid for that order.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised version number and date. If you do not wish to be bound by the revised terms, you may close your account before the effective date by contacting us at [email protected]. Changes will not affect orders placed before the effective date of the revised terms. Non-material changes (such as corrections of typographical errors or clarifications that do not affect your rights) may be made without prior notice.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed from the remaining terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DogBusiness.co.uk in relation to your use of this website and your purchase of digital products. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings, whether written or oral.
